Nominations for Invited Speakers and Symposia

Submission site opens: October 20, 2025

Deadline: November 19, 2025.

Nominations, for both single invited speakers and whole symposia, must be submitted online via the ScholarOne system. A symposium contains six invited talks, focused on a single theme of particularly high interest to the magnetism and magnetic materials community. In addition, the Program Committee may also select a few contributed digests on late-breaking results for upgrades to invited status.

IMPORTANT: All invited speakers (single speakers and symposia) must present onsite. Please confirm with the person(s) being nominated that they agree to present in-person.

To increase the possibility of success for your nomination, please consider:

  • including speakers who did not give invited talks in the most recent conferences;
  • keeping in mind diversity of topics and speakers from our community;
  • listing recent references related to the nominated work;
  • commenting on the presentation capability and availability of the speakers; and
  • having a very attractive symposium title.

Nominations have a limit of 1500 characters and a nomination does not guarantee an invited talk. If accepted, invited speakers will need to submit a two-page digest via the Invited Speaker Submission Center by 9 January 2026. Details will be sent to invited speakers in their acceptance notifications. If a nomination is not accepted, we encourage all speakers that were part of the nomination to submit a two-page digest for consideration as a contributed presentation. Please note, that nominations for symposia and invited talks do not carry forward for consideration as regular contributions. All accepted digests will have the opportunity to publish a full paper in the IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, subject to peer review. The digest submission site opens 24 November 2025 and closes 9 January 2025.
