Travel Support

NO LONGER TAKING APPLICATIONS

The INTERMAG 2026 Conference will provide travel support to a limited number of students working in magnetism and magnetic materials who wish to attend the Conference. The deadline for submitting applications and letters of endorsement is January 30, 2026.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Support is for current students only or students who have graduated within one year of the Conference. Postdoctoral fellows or non-students are not eligible.
  • The student must be presenting a digest at the Conference.
  • The student’s supervisor must submit a letter of recommendation.
  • The student must NOT have previously received MMM/Joint Conference or IEEE Magnetics Society travel support.
  • The student and their supervisor must be current members of the IEEE Magnetics Society.
  • Only ONE application from a current student and ONE application from a student who has graduated within one year of the Conference per research group will be accepted.
  • Preference will be given to students who are nearing completion of their PhD graduate studies, or who have graduated within one year of the Conference, although a limited number of Conference travel grants will be awarded to graduate and undergraduate students.

Note that multiple travel and/or child-care support will not be awarded to a single individual.

How to Apply:

  1. Submit the online application form using the link below.
  2. The student’s advisor must submit an endorsement or recommendation. Once student submits their application, the advisor will receive an email with a link to submit their endorsement.
  3. Only complete applications will be considered.
  4. Applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision by February 20, 2026.
  5. The deadline for submitting applications and letters of endorsement is January 30, 2026.
